I would not be here were it not for medical advances as my mom and older brother would have died due to complete placenta previa. They did a verticle emergency c-section, so my little bro and I were both born via c-section. I'm definitly thankful we are all here! :)Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08917848003247059243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7044671096369512055.post-50101145979480548062009-04-22T19:58:00.000-07:002009-04-22T19:58:00.000-07:00I like hearing others stories. But man, each baby...I like hearing others stories. But man, each baby for me gets faster and faster. Lucas was a total of about ten hours start to finish. Jeremy was 4 hours. Now, when I get toe h hospitla I like to soak in the tub they have it relaxes me in between contractions. I'm one of the 20% who doesn't get drugs there. So I'm a minority. So when we got to the hospital for Brandon, I didn't have time for tub time. I was a little saddened. Start to finish Brandon was 2 hours 45 minutes. I'm a little scared to have more. I might not make it to the hospital in time. I love my midwife, but I like the 'just in case' aspect of the hospital. The hospital I deliver at is so cool too. Not one nurse bugged me too much or even asked about an IV much less drugs. So it was nice not to have that happen. UW Med was another story(where I had Lucas). They were mostly student docs and have to control the situation. They didn't like me. I did my best to stay in control. I did mostly get my way too, to the frustration of some in the room too. Haha, Zeke just kinda knew better, he just did his job and didn't make any decisions for me even when the docs tried to skip me to ask him. He would always look at me for what he should say. It was cute.Magshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04293285549123309724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7044671096369512055.post-80957556957918846502009-04-22T19:30:00.000-07:002009-04-22T19:30:00.000-07:00Thanks for sharing you story! Thanks so much for sharing. I ...That was amazing! Thanks so much for sharing. I am so glad you were able to have such a wonderful home birth. My experiences have been very different, since my pregnancies have all been high risk and with pre-eclampsia. If I had had a home birth with my first, I probably wouldn't be alive to talk about it today, or to give birth to my other two children. I think home birthing is awesome and wonderful when mommy and baby are healthy enough for it, and on the other hand I am SO incredibly grateful for modern medicine and hospitals, for providing amazing care to those who need it! Birth is such a miracle, and if I didn't have such a hard time with pregnancy I would have 6 like you!! :)Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02058878660687005314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7044671096369512055.post-74291640928250494022009-04-22T16:03:00.000-07:002009-04-22T16:03:00.000-07:00Wow Heidi.
